What assisted living at Vision Park includes
Assisted living here comes with:
- A personalized care plan built around your parent’s needs
- Care partners who help with bathing, dressing, grooming and other daily tasks
- Medication management and housekeeping
- Meals from our executive chef, served restaurant-style or buffet
- The Mind • Body • Strength wellness program
- A full calendar of classes, activities and social events
Residents can pick a private room with easy access to an outdoor patio, or shared accommodations if they need more assistance. They’re welcome to bring their own furnishings and keepsakes. There’s an on-site salon and spa as well. Because the monthly rate depends on the care plan, ask for a written list of what’s included when you tour.
Salize memory care at Vision Park
Salize is Avanti’s memory care program for people living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Of the four levels of care in Avanti’s model, it’s the highest. The program mixes specialized exercise, healthy nutrition, an active daily routine and medication management to help residents live with purpose.
Care partners in Salize are specially trained in dementia care. They help with grooming, bathing and dressing, and since each resident has a private bathroom, people can keep doing as much for themselves as they’re able to.
High ceilings and big windows let a lot of natural light into the Salize living areas. Residents can walk outside on the secure patio (it’s a big one), and the serenity room is there for anyone who wants a quiet spot to read or reflect. Each day has exercise, arts and crafts, educational programs and brain-training games on tablets. Mornings can start with the newspaper, read with a care partner. Cleaning and laundry services are included.
If you’d rather take it slowly:
- Salize Transition Program: short visits, social activities, classes and meals over several weeks to several months, so your parent gets to know the staff and residents first.
- Short-term stays: memory support for a few days or longer while a family caregiver runs errands, rests or travels.
You’ll find more detail on our memory care in The Woodlands page for Vision Park.
What the days look like at Vision Park
Taste Restaurant. Our “Green Kitchen” cooks small-batch meals with locally grown produce whenever possible and leans on seasonal and organic ingredients. Desserts are baked from scratch on site every day. The culinary team leaves out harmful processed foods, deep-fried dishes and high-sodium additives such as MSG. They also cook for residents with dietary restrictions or allergies, and there’s a private dining room.
Savor Lounge. That’s where happy hour happens.
Mind • Body • Strength. Every day there’s dance, yoga and balance work with a full-time personal trainer, plus meditation and mindfulness. Sessions are fitted to each resident’s current fitness level.
Things to do. Art classes, singing and knitting groups, care packages for troops overseas, volunteering at a local animal shelter. The salon does haircuts, color, manicures and pedicures, and the spa does massages. When the grandkids visit, the “A” Crew family room is theirs.

Paying for assisted living or memory care
Vision Park doesn’t publish prices. What your parent pays each month comes down to:
- Care needs. Avanti uses four levels of care. In general, the more help your parent needs each day, the higher the cost.
- Type of care. Memory care generally costs more than assisted living because it involves more support.
- Accommodations. Private rooms, shared accommodations and different floor plans carry different rates.
On any tour, ask what the monthly rate covers and what’s billed separately. Ask whether there’s a move-in fee, too, and how often care needs are reassessed.
Ways families pay:
- Personal funds, such as savings, retirement income or the sale of a home.
- VA Aid and Attendance, a monthly amount added to a VA pension for qualified veterans and surviving spouses who need another person’s help with daily activities like bathing, feeding and dressing.
- Long-term care insurance. Most policies start paying when someone needs help with two or more of six activities of daily living, or has a cognitive impairment. Many have an elimination period before benefits begin, so check the details with the insurer.
- Medicare doesn’t pay for long-term care.
